A great regional mutual bank became even “BETTER” and the customers became the spokespeople.

Gibbons | Peck:

  • Leveraged the “It’s Just Better Here” position with a BETTER stamp graphic and mnemonic sound effect across all branded communication.
  • Designed a campaign around actual bank customers, being themselves, having fun, and proclaiming, “It’s just better here!”.
  • Built in continuity elements such as the blue sky background.
  • Built in-bank design elements to create continuity with the television, outdoor, and print campaign.

Result: In the words of one bank officer, “We certainly own “Better” in our market.” In addition to the awareness factor, the banking partnership (the largest mutual bank in North Carolina and second largest in the Southeast) grew by $15 million, during a time when many regional community banks were struggling.
