
Originally from Ohio, Jim graduated from Ohio University and studied fiction writing at the University of Pittsburgh. At HBM/CREAMER, Della Femina McNamee, and Henderson Advertising, he honed his copywriting skills on clients such as Taster’s Choice, Lean Cuisine, Spray ‘n’ Wash, and Hanes Activewear. In 1994, he joined with Art Director (and future wife) Anne Peck to form Gibbons | Peck. They have created a marketing communication firm that relishes the challenge of branding.
Jim spends his free time reading, writing, and working with Anne to restore and maintain their turn-of-the-century Craftsman bungalow (and its two pairs of cardinals, a couple of mocking birds, a bunch of finches, two Carolina wrens, and some squirrels who won’t leave).
