Ravenclaw. June 27

I really don’t know where they found the time, but Anne, Brian, and (maybe) Grace invested some minutes this afternoon, deciding the Harry Potter house into which each of us fits. The consensus of the panel of experts is that I am a Ravenclaw. When I asked what that means, the derisive answer I received was, “Clearly you’ve never read the Harry Potter books.” Fair enough.

All I want to know is whether being a Ravenclaw is a good thing.

  2. Brian and I started the debate on who would go in which house. Alas, he placed me in Hufflepuff. Not a good house.

  3. Who said Hufflepuff wasn’t a good house? I thought Slytherin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogwarts_founders
    was supposed to be the “bad house.” But only because of protest did Harry avoid that house. Just goes to show, like Myers Briggs and HBDI personality psychology demonstrates, all styles can–and should–be appreciated. It’s what you do positively with your tendencies that makes the difference. And appreciating other people for their traits can go a long way!
